The Woodsmith Foundation is inviting passionate and community-minded individuals to apply for a unique opportunity to join its Board of Trustees.

Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community? Do you have a strong connection to Redcar and Cleveland, the former Borough of Scarborough, Whitby, or the North York Moors National Park? If so, the Woodsmith Foundation would love to hear from you.

As a trustee, you will play a vital role in guiding the Foundation’s work to create lasting, positive change across local communities. The Foundation is particularly keen to hear from individuals who are curious, collaborative, and committed to making a difference. Applications are especially encouraged from people under 40, as the Foundation aims to ensure its Board reflects the diversity of the communities it serves.

No previous board experience is required as training and support will be provided. The Foundation welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and is especially interested in individuals with experience in local government, charity governance, or evaluating long-term social impact.

Trustees meet four times a year. The role is voluntary, but reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.
